The inaugural sessions of Mega Learning Fest have already taken place, covering two crucial topics: psychological safety and business communications. MPFI had invited two professionals to be guest speakers for the first two learning sessions. These sessions provided valuable insights and tools for our team members to enhance their understanding of creating a supportive work environment and refine their communication skills for effective collaboration.
The Mega Learning Fest kicked off with a topic regarding psychological safety. In the fast-paced world of today’s workplace, psychological safety is essential for fostering innovation and productivity. During this session, guest speaker HR Consultant, Mrs. Nenette Fernando, emphasized that it is vital for a company to cultivate an environment where everyone holds the freedom to voice out and be heard. The One Mega Dream Team learned about the importance of creating an environment where team members feel comfortable expressing their ideas, taking risks, and engaging in open dialogue without fear of judgment or reprisal.
In the second session of the Mega Learning Fest, the discussion focused on business communications. Guest speaker and learning and development practitioner, Mr. Brian Sese, reiterated how important it is to be an effective communicator in the workplace. He emphasized that effective communication is the cornerstone of successful business operations. In this session, our team members gained valuable strategies for improving their communication skills, including active listening techniques, clarity in messaging, and adapting communication styles to different audiences.
